Meet the Doctors
Kenny Morris
Kenny Morris moved to Wilmington in 1968 with his family. Both his mother and father were healthcare providers. His father Kenny Morris, Sr. helped start Delaney Radiology and his mother was a nurse until she started to raise her family. As a child Kenny was a Boy Scout and continued on to receive the achievement of Eagle Scout in 1981 for Troop 13. Consequently his son Kenny Morris, III would receive this very high honor himself with the same troop in 2010.
Kenny graduated from Hoggard High School in 1982 and attended UNC. There he received a Batchelor of Science in Mathematics in 1986 and then his Doctor of Dental Surgery in 1990. After graduation Dr. Morris was quick to return to Wilmington to become as associate with Dr. Clayton Smith, the "Tooth Doctor", while he began construction on his current office. The doors to his very own, newly constructed practice opened in May of 1991. Here Dr. Morris practiced dentistry solo along with is staff until his wife Vicki joined him in 1996. Both doctors have worked together over the years to serve their patients providing exceptional dental care.
Today, and as a child, Dr. Kenny has been an active member of First Christian Church (Disciples of Christ) located on Oleander Drive. With his church Dr. Kenny has traveled to the village of Puente Azul, in El Salvador in both 2007 and 2010 doing mission work. He very much enjoys these trips and plans to continue.
In his "free time" Dr. Morris enjoys deer hunting in the fall and recently has started running. He has even competed in a few 5K races, just for fun. Although he enjoys many outdoor activities his true passion is for offshore fishing in the Gulf Stream, both out of Wrightsville Beach and Hatteras Village, in the Outer Banks. Another true love of Dr. Morris’ is Disney World. He and his family are Disney Vacation Club Members allowing them to travel to the "Happiest Place on Earth" over two dozen times and counting. He is also no stranger to the Disney Cruise line, with several voyages under his belt.
Dr. Morris enjoys time with his family. His son Kenny III is currently a student at the University of South Carolina in the International Business program. With his son off to school, South Carolina has become a new destination of travel for he and his wife.
Vicki Morris
Vicki grew up in Northern Durham county. She "just knew" that she wanted to be a dentist. So, in the 6th grade she toured the UNC School of Dentistry. Years later she became a graduate of UNC- Chapel Hill with a BS in Dental Hygiene. After practicing as a Dental Hygienist for a few years she decided to pursue her dream of becoming a Dentist, and entered Dental School.
After graduation, Vicki moved to Southport NC and practiced dentistry in Brunswick County. Vicki practiced dentistry for a time there before marrying Dr. Kenny Morris, Jr. Upon the birth of their son Vicki decided to join her husband in his practice in Wilmington. Together they have grown a successful dental practice over the years and hope to continue that growth for many more.
Dr. Vicki enjoys spending her time outside of the office playing tennis year round on different seasonal tennis teams. Her summers are spent tending to her home flower gardens, taking in some offshore fishing with her family, and traveling to different destinations. One very special week each year is spent volunteering her time with the youth of her church during their mission trips.
Family is very important to Dr. Vicki. She and Dr. Kenny have one son who continues to keep them very busy. As a family they enjoy trips to Disney World. They are Disney Vacation Club members and try, as often as they can , to take advantage of those benefits. After all, everyone needs a place they can go and act like a kid again!
